You subscribe on our website www.poweryogacanarias.com, in the Online Classes tab..., and you can follow the classes on your phone, computer, or TV. You just have to decide where in your house to start practicing!

    Alberto Jorge comenzó con el Yoga cuando aún era deportista de élite en el año 1998 tras un trauma emocional severo... Empezó a formarse y a profundizar en la ciencia del yoga, en sus diferentes viajes por el mundo, hasta que en el año 2007 hizo la primera de sus formaciones en los Estados Unidos con el creador del Power Yoga "Larry Schultz". Posteriormente ha seguido ahondando en la meditación y en los diferentes estilos de Yoga, con multitud de profesores tradicionales y contemporáneos reconocidos, hasta que en el año 2014 fundó su propia escuela "Power Yoga Canarias". Actualmente investiga y desarrolla un programa de biomecánica del movimiento en el Yoga, basado en sus estudios de Ciencia de la Actividad física y del Deporte. Organiza y elabora workshops internacionales, así como formación de profesores de yoga dentro del proyecto de la Yoga Alliance International. Ha creado su propio estilo...; su energía, conocimientos, instrucciones y sus secuencias de asanas creativas desarrollan en sus alumnos un grado más de fuerza y serenidad!

    From May 30 to June 2 come with us to a beautiful mountain house in the Barranco de Ayagaures, Gran Canaria .
    A unique natural place, Biosphere Reserve, ideal to disconnect from the daily hustle and connect with nature.

    In this retreat we will seek to detoxify and purify body and mind in order to reconnect with our essence .

    Activities
    We will start the day by detoxifying the body on an empty stomach with kriyas (cleaning exercises), pranayamas (breathing exercises) and asanas .

    We will awaken our more yang side with vigorous workshops in the purest power style, and our yin and introspective side with meditation and yoga nidra .

    We will learn to fly, to trust in ourselves and in others, having fun with lunar and solar acroyoga sessions.

    There will be several hikin in which we will enjoy the ravine of ayagaures and its spectacular dam, connecting with nature and its elements. Also on these dates we will be almost on a new moon, so we will be lucky to see beautiful starry nights .


    Accommodation
    Ayagaures Hábitat Arte is a house in the mountains, away from the bustle of the city and pollution, a haven of peace where to disconnect to reconnect.
    It is an alternative space that encourages organic agriculture and care of the environment. It is built with much detail and love, being ideal for retreats, breaks, detox and natural food.

    The house has a beautiful glazed yoga room with wooden platform where we will conduct workshops and meditations.

    It also has a large garden with magnificent views, where we can perform some yoga, meditation and acroyoga session.

    There are 9 single beds spread over 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, one kitchen and a dining room. Inside and outside the house there are several areas with chill-out sofas where you can relax during free time.

    Meals
    There will be 3 vegetarian / vegan meals daily with drinks included.

    The kitchen will be Ayurvedic and prepared by Eva, a cook who specializes in it.

    It will be specially designed following the detoxifying and revitalizing purpose of the retreat.






    Team
    Alberto Jorge , Director and founder of Power Yoga Canarias will guide you in the sessions of Yoga, Meditation, Pranayama, Kriyas, Acroyoga, Yoga Nidra and workshops.

    Jose Santiago , geologist and expert hiker, will take us to discover and enjoy the nature of the place, the gully of Ayagaures and the dam. With him we will also learn to interpret the sky and recognize the stars.

    Eva San Gil , entitled in Ayurvedic cuisine, will be responsible for choosing and preparing meals (vegetarian / vegan) that will help us in this process of detoxification and revitalization.

    What is “Power Yoga”?
    Power Yoga is a lifestyle and a form of Freestyle Yoga! It has its roots in traditional methods, but unlike them it does not adhere to any rigid rules, leaving space for creativity and enjoyment.

    Asanas (Stances) are practiced in a dynamic and energizing way that tone the body and allow for controlling the mind; it's a moving meditation that follows natural laws that dictate balance and flexibility, posture and rest, breathing and concentration, self-delivery, and your fears. Power Yoga also involves the practice of Pranayama (Control of Breathing) to teach you how to take control of your life using the knowledge of proper breathing techniques, a knowledge that can be useful in your day-to-day routine.
    What determines how far we can get is how receptive we are to growth!

    Intensive Power Yoga is a unique style created by our studio director: Alberto Jorge. It will make you stronger, more flexible and happier, raising your self-esteem day by day.High Level Style.
    Fusion Yoga
    FUSION YOGA is, as its name says, a fusion and combination of two different styles: VINYASA YOGA (a dynamic yoga) and our main style, POWER YOGA (with its roots in Asthanga Yoga). It is then an intermediate level between our INTEGRAL and INTENSIVE classes. Yoga lovers will just need it!
    Integral Yoga
    A class suitable for everyone, beginners and advanced, that is based on teachings of Hatha, Ashtanga and Iyengar Yoga. It is an appointment with yourself! Calm your anxiety through the basic techniques of postures (asanas), breathing (pranayama) and meditation.
    Meditation
    Through Vipassana Meditation we train our mind and attend to all aspects of ourselves that need our attention to be healed, integrated and accepted. Thus a transformation, an internal alchemy, with a deep understanding of who we are is produced. Meditation will be in silent.
    Power Air/Power Air Family
    A style of Yoga based on techniques from Air Yoga/Aerial Yoga with Power Yoga. (RESERVATION REQUIRED).
    Workshops
    It's the Saturday morning workshop class that blends together perfectly everything we do during the week in all of the other classes, alternating teachers and styles. Start your weekend at Power Yoga Canarias... discovering more about the yoga life style!.
    Restorative Yoga
    It is the genlte class designed at Power Yoga Canarias intended for every-body, including BEGINNERS and PREGNANT*. It uses Power Yoga energy of our School but more subtly, more YIN. A less dynamic class so that your body can regenerate, stay healthy and adapt to the practice of Yoga gradually.
    *Prenatal yoga improves circulation, reduces water retention and improves breathing, a technique so important to help with relaxation during delivery.
